Design for wellbeing: benefits of sustainable architecture
It’s silly, I know!.
Back in the day, about 8 years ago when Kennedy was a baby, Chris used to build a lot of basic furniture pieces for me because, well, we had none. This was back in the day before I even knew what a blog was or that other people did this too!
I really wanted a console table for behind the sofa, so Chris put this one together for me for about $40.If anyone’s interested in a tutorial on this one, let me know!.Well, it’s seen better days, but I’m still not quite ready to get rid of it.
But I thought a paint job was in order. In fact, one day I suddenly found myself really really wanting to paint it and nothing could be done to stop me!
It was about 9:30 pm on a Saturday night and this.
It was such a great, quick project to do because I really only had to paint part of it to get the look I wanted.. Bam!wax paper technique for transferring an image.
as I did when I made my turkey pillow.I just made the monogram in Picmonkey and flipped it around.. You can see that doing this on a hard surface instead of fabric really gives a very imperfect result and the ink catches in any tiny bit of grain that there may be in the wood..
I really don’t mind the overall look at all though. It’s called character right?.
