Five Things on a Friday 2/25/22.

The buds on the lilac branches are also smaller at this time of year so they didn’t get in the way.. How to Make Your DIY Easter Jelly Bean Branches.I only made two branches and with the lilac branches, that was more than enough to fill a vase.. Start out by pre-heating your glue gun and picking through your jelly beans to remove any colors that you don’t want to use.

We just stayed away from the blacks, but used all the rest.. Place a little dab of glue at the end of a branch and place a jelly bean on it, holding it in place for five seconds so it has time to set.You can see I missed removing a few little glue strings, but I’m not too worried about it.Move to another little branch segment and do the same thing!

I actually just ended up doing one jelly bean per branch end.I thought it would take much more than that, but I found that this was plenty.

Once you’ve attached a jelly bean to each branch, you’ll have something that looks a little like this.

And that’s really all there is to this super simple project! So far, just having the intention that this time of day should be a good one is helping.

I also make a point to make myself a really great fancy iced coffee and make sure to have lots of fun snacks to put into the lunch pails so that the whole process feels easy and I feel like I’ve done a good job of making something the kids will be excited to eat.Bonus points for me if I have something home-baked to add in.

I’m pretty sure I’ll get bored again with the whole thing at some point in the coming months, so I’ll have to keep my eye open for new ideas to keep making this time of day fun.I’ve really embraced “mini-projects” over the last year as we’ve had no time for real renovations..
