It’s always a work in progress around here!

Meet me back here tomorrow to see Kennedy’s closet!I change my perspective on this front hall project every five minutes, I swear.One moment it’s the most significant and symbolic thing in my life and needs to get done PRONTO and the next it’s no big deal.

It’s just a hallway.. Of course, now that Chris has done his (big) part to help me out, and it’s my turn to get to work, it’s suddenly not such a pressing issue!I’m terrible, I admit it!.The moldings are up!

Yippee skippee!.Having them up just means so much to me.

It means, in my head at least, that I live in.

that house.. You know, that house that exists in your head as The House.So to recap, here we have the before:.

You can really see from that before and after what a big difference the rug makes, and even adding in those pillows on the chairs at the table too.Both of them really break up all the brown that was in the room before and really give the whole room a very “I designed this room to look this way on purpose” feel, even though the only major thing we did renovation-wise was paint.

And even that doesn’t really count as renovation..I love that even though the rug and the pillows are really great quality, they aren’t things that are way out of the price range of the average person living in an average house with an average dining room just like mine.. Birch Lane.
